Shoulder Injury Physio Sunshine Coast
Shoulder pain shouldn’t keep you away from the gym, sport or the things you enjoy. We’ll assess what’s limiting you, restore strength and movement, and help you get back to moving and using your shoulder with confidence.
Still Training on a Sore Shoulder or Avoiding What Hurts?
Most people with shoulder pain do one of two things. They keep training around it until pressing, pulling or overhead work becomes a problem, or they rest until it settles only for the pain to return when they start loading it again.
Neither fixes the problem long-term. Because where you feel the pain isn't always the whole story. Strength, movement, training load and how your shoulder handles force all matter.
At Good Vibes Physio, we find out why your shoulder is hurting, then build it back strong enough for the things you want to do.
Shoulder Injuries We Treat on the Sunshine Coast
We work with gym-goers, CrossFit and HYROX athletes, swimmers, field sport athletes, lifters and active people across the Sunshine Coast.
-
Rotator cuff injuries can cause pain, weakness or difficulty lifting and controlling the arm, particularly with reaching, pressing or overhead movements. Rehab focuses on restoring movement and progressively rebuilding shoulder strength and capacity.
-
Pain around the front or side of the shoulder that often flares when lifting your arm, reaching overhead or training. We look at shoulder strength, movement and load to understand what's driving the pain rather than simply avoiding the movements that hurt.
-
Shoulder bursitis can cause pain and sensitivity around the shoulder, particularly with reaching, lifting or sleeping on the affected side. Treatment focuses on settling irritation while gradually restoring movement, strength and tolerance to load.
-
Frozen shoulder can cause increasing pain and significant stiffness, making everyday movements like reaching overhead or behind your back difficult. Treatment is tailored to the stage of the condition and focuses on maintaining movement, improving function and gradually rebuilding strength.
-
After a shoulder dislocation, the joint can feel weak, unstable or difficult to trust during lifting, throwing or overhead activity. Rehab progressively rebuilds strength, control and stability to prepare the shoulder for everyday activity, training or sport.
-
Labral injuries can cause deep shoulder pain, clicking, catching or feelings of instability, particularly during overhead or sporting movements. Rehab focuses on restoring strength and control around the shoulder while progressively building back into the activities you want to return to.
Why Shoulder Injuries Keep Coming Back
Because most treatment stops at pain relief. The pain settles, you go back to lifting, training or overhead movement, but the underlying issue hasn't changed and the shoulder starts hurting again.
At Good Vibes Physio we don't stop working with you when the pain goes.
We build your shoulder back to full strength and capacity with objective milestones, progressive loading, and a plan you can actually follow alongside your training.
What to Expect at Good Vibes Physio
-
We assess how you move, how you load, and where the breakdown is happening. You leave your first appointment with a clear diagnosis and a plan - not "let's see how it goes."
-
We don't tell you to stop running unless we absolutely have to. Where possible we modify your training load so you stay active while you recover.
-
Our clinic is equipped with gym-based rehab equipment. Strength deficits are one of the most common drivers of running injury - we address them properly, not with theraband exercises.
-
If your injury needs more than a few sessions, we'll recommend one of our structured rehab programs - 4, 8 or 12 weeks with clear milestones and a defined finish line.
