Performance rehab: We don't just get you out of pain. We build you to perform better.
Hands-on care: We use hands on treatment like dry needling and massage as part of our tookit.
Tech guided: VALD performance testing shows exactly where your mechanics are costing you.
Goal focused: Whether it's finishing the event you've trained for or getting back to training without injury, the plan is built around that.
-
Usually not. In most cases we'll modify rather than stop you completely, adjusting load, volume or movement patterns so you can keep training while we sort out what's actually going on. If something does need to come off the table short term, we'll tell you exactly why and for how long.
-
A lot of physio treats the sore spot and sends you on your way. We work differently, hands-on care paired with a private gym set up with strength equipment and VALD performance testing, so we're not guessing at what's going on, we're seeing it. That means a plan built around your actual goals, whether that's a race, a PB, or just training without holding back. You'll understand what's going on and why, not just follow instructions.
-
Depends on what we find and how long it's been going on. Some things settle in a few weeks. Others, especially the ones that have been on and off for a while, take longer to properly sort. We'll give you an honest timeframe after your first session, not a generic number upfront.
-
We start with a thorough assessment, understanding your training load, your schedule, and what's actually going on, with VALD testing where it's relevant to your situation. You'll get some hands-on treatment for pain relief, and you'll leave with a clear picture of what's happening, why, and what the plan looks like from here.
-
Most people keep training in some form. Part of our job is figuring out what you can keep doing safely while we work on the underlying issue, rather than just telling you to stop and wait it out.
-
That's fine.
If you've got a PT, S&C coach, or a running group you're happy with, we're not asking you to drop them. We're happy to work alongside whatever you've already got going, our focus is on the assessment and the specific issue you've come in for.
-
We work with a broad range of injuries and niggles, from knees and ankles to backs and running-related issues. The honest answer is we won't know for certain until we've assessed you, that's exactly what the first appointment is for. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
-
Depends on where you're at. Some people need a short, focused block and are good to go. Others want ongoing support to keep building on progress or working toward a specific goal. We'll talk through what makes sense for you, there's no set path everyone gets pushed down.
-
Yes to both.
With a Medicare EPC referral, you pay upfront and we handle the claim, your rebate lands within 48 hours. Private health is usually claimable on the day for physio. For funds we can't process directly, we'll send you the invoice so you can claim it yourself.
-
Pricing depends on what you need, so rather than a generic number here, we'll walk you through exact costs (and what's claimable) when you book.
Frequently Asked Questions
Hey, I'm Chee.
I started GVP not because of what I couldn't find for myself, but because of what I saw working in clinics across Australia and overseas.
Too often it was the same two options. Some treatment, a few basic exercises and come back in a few weeks. Or a set-up built for elite athletes with hours a day to spend on rehab and recovery.
Neither one fit the people who actually walked through the door.
I train, I run, I’ve raced HYROX and I wanted to build care around people like that, not care that treats training like the problem. So I built the clinic I kept seeing was missing.
Athlete-grade rehab, without needing to be a professional athlete to access it.
